Defender of the Crown is a kind of medieval wargame graphically flawless. Manage your land, raise an army and set out to conquer England in the 12th century. There is no battlefield, everything is orchestrated from the map by turns, like a board game. Sometimes, mini-games take place: jousts between knights, enemy castles seats, night raids. . . .
The Amiga version is considered the easiest and prettiest but the strategic dimension is not very thorough. In contrast, the C64 version is much more technical, more difficult, although graphically far behind. We can not have it all.
In 2003, a remake is released on PC and some consoles: Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown.
