For culture, Dune is initially a SF novel written by Frank Herbert in the '60s, adapted a few times in film and game.

History: at the beginning of the 112th century, the most precious substance in the universe is "the spice" and it is only found in abundance on a desert planet called Arrakis (or Dune). You are Paul Atreides, your family was sent to harvest the spice for the Emperor. Your role will initially be to ensure sufficient production of spice to satisfy his majesty (whose demands keep increasing) then get in touch with the local population (the Fremen) and make them faithful allies to chase away the cruel Harkkonens, sworn enemies of the Atreides . . .

Dune's gameplay is halfway between adventure and management with many dialogs, a real scenario and a pinch of strategy. The graphics and music are inspired by the film by David Lynch. This is a short but captivating game.
