This is a game representative of what was often made on the Amiga: gorgeous graphics, absolutely sublime music. . . .

To tell you how nice the music is, I left by mistake DeliPlayer playing one tune in a loop for over an hour (the module in question lasts 1:12), without realizing it! I don't know many games whose music does not begin to tackle my brain after several minutes only.

On the playability side though, it's an utter disaster. The development team is the same that will give birth to Agony. Logically, you feel the same first impression ("Wow!") And after a few minutes, you'll be bored stiff.

What I have against Unreal, and against Shadow of the Beast too by the way: the character is too slow, poorly animated, the action is repetitive. . . . In fact, you should see this game as a sophisticated demo or a piece of art, perhaps, for its atmosphere.

The platformer sequences alternate with 3D shooting phases on the back of a dragon, rather impressive, but lame and repetitive in my opinion. Dare I say it is an ancestor of Panzer Dragoon? Oh, I just dared.

For those who have the courage to reach the end. You will see a cryptic "to be continued" alluding to a sequel. Know that today, we are still waiting. . . .
