Fire & Ice: The Daring Adventures Of Cool Coyote is a routine platformer game packed with bonuses and secret passages.
Friend coyote uses snow balls to freeze his enemies. Other weapons are available but in too small quantities to be really useful. . . .
To reach the next level, you must reconstitute a key with six pieces. You can glean theses from the local critters after they have been gently frozen and pulverized.
On your way you may encounter puppies who will follow you everywhere if only you don't go too fast. You have to escort them to the exit (them and the 6 pieces of key) to earn extra-lives. Warning: pain in the ***. . . .
Graphically, it's fine, nothing to say. Musically . . . torture, but you get over it.
The handling is not state-of-the-art (rather unpleasant inertia in the early stages but eh . . . ice is slippery).
Despite its qualities, Fire and Ice suffers from comparison with Toki or James Pond 2 which are in my opinion more fun and less repetitive.
