Wily is back with 8 of his master robots, and once again he is defeated by Mega Man.

I will not dwell on the script subtleties . . . Côté gameplay, little change except the introduction of a password system to resume a game.
Note that Mega Man 2 is much easier than its predecessor (despite the presence of two levels of difficulty).

Suggested order:
Metal Man > Bubble Man > Heat Man > Wood Man > Air Man > Crash Man > Flash Man > Quick Man
