Take the last game's plot and replace the "WWW" organization by the "Gospel" mafia.
Can't say the scriptwriter killed himself. Mega Man Battle Network 2 is a carbon copy of the former. Which suits us, although. . . .
Graphically, very little change. We recognize some places already visited in the previous episode, sometimes with tidier textures. At least the net has been completely remade, I think it's prettier. The sound effects are identical, the music is very similar and some minor improvements have been made to the combat system, new chips, new abilities but nothing transcendent.
Overall, the game is still nice but we see nothing new. The scenario is clearly dashed, the dialogues are clichés and pompous and the "puzzles" become downright laughable.
In short, if you're new to the series, start with Mega Man Battle Network, otherwise, skip to the third installment.
Oh, one last tip: next time you board a plane, take a chopstick, a cap, some thread and whiskey, in case a spider would attack the crew! Weeee. . . .
