The gold standard of real time strategy games. Today, it is still widely played online in "skirmish" mode.
Like Command & Conquer, you must build a base, collect resources and train units (infantry, tanks) to destroy your opponent's base.
Differences with the latter, its futuristic style, the appearance of 3D models, beautiful "orchestral" music, much more units and greater gameplay (keyboard shortcuts, ability to give several orders consecutively and to automate certain tasks).
Many titles have come out since, with the ambition to renew the genre. But to me, there is no improvement to make. The concept is perfect, it is unnecessary to distort it.
(*) The game consists of a rather lengthy single player campaign (CD1) and an online or lan multiplayer mode (CD2). Several extensions were released and many "mods" created by players.
