Discworld
In this parody of fantasy novels (The Lord of the Rings among others), we follow the adventures of Rincewind, a failed magician, who serves as guide to a tourist named Twoflower. They will travel the Discworld (their planet is flat, supported by four giant elephants, themselves perched on the back of a turtle . . .) and meet all sorts of crazy people.
This is the first book I read in English (bad idea, by the way).
Satire, English humor, I completely missed all that.
Maybe I will give it a second chance one day. . . .
