The Ants
The life of a colony of ants in the Fontainebleau forest and its first contacts with humans beings. . . .
The first novel is brilliant, the theme is original, we get attached to these little creatures and I told myself on every page: "damn! they should make a rts game out of it!", actually they made one but I did not dare to try it for fear of being disappointed. . . .
Of course, one learns much about ants, but it is taught subtly, without ever falling into the documentary genre.
The second and especially the third book, however, jabbers on spiritual and ideological delirium, rather indigestible. The author is no longer content to tell a story but proclaims his moral, marshmallow flavored. The peaceful revolution, right. Try it at home!
