Ashes, ashes

Ashes, ashes Title:
Ravage
Ashes, ashes

Author: René Barjavel

Year: 1943

Score:

Paris, 2052. A future world entirely dependent on technology. One day, we do not know why, electricity disappears!
This leads to a chain of disasters and rapid return to barbarism. Cities have become uninhabitable, the few survivors flee to the countryside to build an agricultural society. . . .

It's fun to see how Barjavel imagined future in the '40s: no computers, flying cars with propellers, books equipped with speakers, people with microphones, in large offices, paid to read your books for you. . . .
