The Farseer Trilogy
This one reminds me of Harry Potter by its simple and Manichean characters.
Fitz is a bastard. His grandfather, the king, wants to make of him a political assassin. Equipped with telepathic powers, like the rest of his family, and the unspeakable power, to communicate with animals; sometimes envied and hated by some in the Court, Fitz bathe his whole life in plots. His loyalty will be constantly tested and it will always be torn between his duty, his friendships, his love, his aspirations.
A series of novels easy to read with lots of action. Good guys are good, bad guys are bad and the main character's naivety is exasperating.
