Simon is an apprentice magician (reminds you of someone?) who goes in search of his mentor, Calypso, kidnapped by the villain Sordid. . . .
This adventure game is a humor "point-and-click" with superb graphics and beautiful music. No sound effect however, at least on my version, but I'm quibbling.
Like many adventure games, it is very fun in the beginning, when there are many places to discover, zany characters to meet and trinkets to pick up. Then, when you think you have seen everything, you remain stuck for hours because you missed some object a few pixels wide, faded into the background and of course needed to solve a riddle. Very irritating, especially since it's a situation that we find endlessly to the point of having to spend ten minutes to scan each screen with your mouse to spot the smallest detail. . . .
