This guide is addressed to those, like me, who know nothing about Amiga specifics, who just want to replay their games without having a headeache. Sorry but Amiga emulation is quite complicated, and frankly not encouraged because the required softwares are still sold nowadays. However, it may seem a little superfluous to pay 30 euros for an operating system that we will not be able to install, let alone use, only to play Pacman for 5 minutes. Too bad! We'll resort to piracy. What you need: "Workbench 3.1" which consists of 5 disks (files): Workbench (3.1) Extras (3.1) Fonts (3.1) Storage (3.1) Locale (3.1) These widgets can be found easily with a p2p software. Otherwise, the legal solution (30 euro) is here: http://www.amigaforever.com. Once you've found your 5 files, download and install "Classic Workbench Lite" by following the instructions: http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/lite.htm http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/instructions.htm Then, create a folder on your computer to store your games installed on hard drive ("hd games" for example). Then in WinUAE, load your new configuration, go to "Hard drives", click "Add Directory or Archive" and set the path to your folder. Save the configuration and restart the emulator. The games now. You have sites that distribute Amiga games ready to be installed on hard drives, for example: http://kg.whdownload.com/kgwhd. Well, you have to download whole packs. That's the way it is. Put them in your folder (unzipped). Start the emulator after loading the "ClassicWB" configuration, find your folder with your games, double-click and go! Alternatively, if you already have the games, download "installers" on http://www.whdload.de. Do not ask me about that, I did not understand anything. Ah, if you get an error message saying it cannot find kickxxxxx, place your Kickstart (1.3 or 3.1 depending on the game) in your "hd games" folder to locate it in the Workbench then move it into Devs/kickstart and rename it as it is written in the error window. You're all done! T'was easy wasn't it? Next time I'll teach you how to dismantle a nuclear reactor in apnea and with mittens. See you soon!
