On an emulator as well, you need this file. If it is not supplied with the emulator, I guess it's because it is still copyrighted and sold in one form or another. To find it for free on the internet is easy but illegal, like downloading 25 years old commercial games. Easy, but not legal! To see how easy it can be type "Kickstart Amiga download" in Google. I saw a Kickstart 1.3 and 3.1, those two can run almost all games from 1985-1995 years. But take all the versions you can find, they can be handy to make some games work. 3-Choose a folder in your computer to store your Kickstarts and games. Note the directory path because it will be entered into WinUAE. 4-Launch WinUAE. We'll start by quickly configuring it. Go to the "Paths" section. In "System ROM", enter the path to your Kickstarts folder. Click on "Rescan ROMs. Go to "Display" to change the screen resolution and "Game Ports" to configure buttons (I prefer to change "keyboard layout A" with B, you can also put a joystick). In the "input" section, you can save shortcuts for quick save and quick load states (among other things). To make it quicker here's a screenshot: http://www.dazeland.com/images/WinUAE-02.png Note that keyboard shortcuts might need to be entered under "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" instead of "WinUAE null keyboard". In "filter", you can set "Automatic resize" on if you want. Go to "Settings", enter anything in the "Name" fields and click "save". 5-You can try a game! Click on "Quick Start" on the left. Each Kickstart version is used to emulate an Amiga model and the drop down menu below offers various configurations. A500 "MOST common" should be enough to run most games, but the latest ones might need a superior model (e.g. A1200 kickstart 3.1). Below you have the virtual floppy drives: DF0 and DF1. Click on "Select image file" and enter the path to your game. You can tick the DF1 box if you have multiple disks. Click "Start" at the bottom. The game starts. Remember that you can return to the previous menu by pressing F12.
