Zool, Ninja of the Nth dimension was regarded as a rival for Sonic. The game, sponsored by the famous brand of lollipops "Chupa Chups", has been so successful it has been ported to many other platforms such as Sega Genesis and Supernes consoles.

Strangely, I had never heard of it before, and, quite honestly, I have trouble believing he could be in Sega's mascot light.

Zool is colorful and dynamic, of course, but the level design is really lacking inspiration. A scenery without relief and baddies placed here and there for padding.
