Dazeland is a personal site devoted to video games, online since June 2000.
At the time, everybody was making my head spin with the latest trendy titles, always more advanced, more beautiful . . . Diablo 2, remember?
I, for one, wanted to talk about games I grew up with. Obsolete games, completely forgotten, technically out of date but sometimes superior to today's bestsellers in terms of fun and creativity.
I mostly played with these wonders on an Amiga.
Of course, the machine has long since passed away, but there're always fruitcakes on the internet who bring back its game library, thanks to "emulators", softwares that simulate old consoles, or here an old computer, to be able to run its games again, on our brawny 3rd millennium systems. . . .
Thus, I could dig up some of my old lost treasures. Browse the galleries to immerse you in all the atmosphere of that time . . .
or give your children a good laugh!
Alongside my mausoleum for the Amiga, I had a big crush for a console game series: Mega Man. I focused on the saga's origins. Sequels keep coming up all the time but I find it rather hard to get interested in them; no "nostalgia factor" nor the time to play with all these new consoles. . . .
Troublesome, isn't it? And untimely too.
