The shareware adaptation of a modest clone of Cybernoid, known as Shark (Commodore 64, 1989).
The task is to explore labyrinths bristling with defence turrets and teeming with creatures that bite, aboard a submarine armed to the schnorchel. Once you’ve had your fill, make your way to the level’s exit to trade torpedoes with a sluggish boss.
The production quality seems more than decent for an amateur game. Unlike Cybernoid, colliding with the environment doesn’t cost you a life. There’s also no inertia, which makes things much easier—though perhaps at the expense of any real thrill…
