You control a blond young man who’s been asked to deliver a package to the headquarters of a laboratory in Singapore. Upon arrival, you realise that their last experiment probably didn’t go as planned: the building is infested with mutants! You need to find the boss to hand over the package and rescue any potential survivors.

As you progress, you’ll uncover what happened by rummaging through computers in deserted offices or speaking to the survivors. Apparently, they were researching biological weapons, and apparently, they succeeded!

This isometric 3D curiosity, at the crossroads of adventure, puzzle-solving, and action, hails from the PC library. Some may gripe about its sparse environments, lacking in colour, and its minimalist soundtrack. Personally, I applaud its exemplary ergonomics—a feature so often neglected on the Amiga! It exudes a modern, unexpected, and quite pleasant style.

Be warned, if you’re playing the AGA version on an emulator, you need to specify “CD32 pad” in the game controller options, as shown in this image.

If you enjoy this genre (and retro games), I highly recommend Knight Lore (ZX Spectrum, 1984) and Crafton et Xunk (Amstrad CPC, 1986).
Craving a more modern game? Try Timelie (2020).
