The Waterdeep City Council has sent you, along with a handful of adventurers, to explore the sewers and track down Xanathar, the leader of a secret organisation. As soon as you’re inside the underground tunnel, the passage through which you entered collapses, blocking any retreat.
You’re left with no choice but to delve deeper into the catacombs, eliminate the villains, thwart the plot, and find an exit, carefully collecting all the treasures that present themselves.

Ultimately, it’s a Dungeon Master remake, quite well done, with an advanced character creation system (classes, races, alignments, stats) similar to Dungeons and Dragons role-playing games. It even has an official licence. Note that in addition to the four base heroes, you can recruit two non-player characters along the way.

One year later, Black Crypt and Eye of the Beholder 2: The Legend of Darkmoon will be released.

An extremely annoying detail: I wasted two hours trying to swap the position of two characters, and the manual didn’t indicate how. You must right-click on their name, not their portrait.
