A first-generation, as I like to call them, amateur Boulder Dash clone. It contains twenty levels numbered from 1 to 20, plus a bonus level at every multiple of five, a jerky animation, a limited number of lives, only two types of enemies, and one sort of emerald.
The “non-centred” screen scrolling, which only shows four squares ahead of the character, creates some visibility issues. The controls don’t always respond efficiently, making it an extremely difficult game.
You’re given the choice between two graphic themes: the original Boulder Dash (where you control a kind of alien) and a version more similar to Emerald Mine.
Its cousin, Royal Boulderdash, works in exactly the same way (I believe both were made using the Boulder Dash Construction Kit).
