I’d completely forgotten I’d downloaded this thing, and seeing the title screen, I was bracing myself for a Speedball knockoff. Nope.
Originally envisioned as a sequel to The Great Giana Sisters (Giana 2: Arther and Martha in Future World), I read that it was ultimately reworked out of fear of upsetting Nintendo even further. What we’re left with is a generic platformer featuring one-directional screen scrolling, a time limit, a few secret areas shamelessly lifted from Super Mario Bros., and … oh, look, a flamethrower!
Press “down” to switch weapons and hit the space bar, followed by “left” or “right”, to use secondary gear (shield, code, bomb).
