The Amiga adaptation of Monty Mole’s latest adventures, a character first seen on the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 in 1984, in Wanted: Monty Mole. Back then, the goal was to help a mole escape from a mine.
This time, Monty finds himself decked out in a superhero costume and recruited by aliens to retrieve magical scrolls. The usual sort of thing…
It’s a charming and fairly varied game, featuring its share of secret rooms, quirky weapons, and bonuses galore (there are also coins to collect and shops to spend them in). Unfortunately, only one life to complete it—now that’s what I call sadistic.
Note: Monty Mole is also the name of an enemy in several Mario games, probably as a nod to the original.
