Help Mutt, a red imp who bears more than a passing resemblance to Taz, the Tasmanian devil, explore the Chaos labyrinth. He’s been chosen to find the mythical pizza of abundance…
This wacky game was originally released on PC (1993 on floppy disk, 1994 on CD-ROM) before being ported to CDi and CD32. It combines dexterity challenges, puzzles, and a few (simplistic) fights, interspersed with long periods of searching through endless tunnel networks, filled with traps.
So, you search, fumble around, get lost, restart a challenge a hundred times … it requires a bit of wit, a lot of skill with the joystick, and saintly patience (which, sadly, I lack). Plus, it’s pretty frustrating never knowing what to do, or attacking an enemy for a while without knowing if it has any effect…
Still, I find Litil Divil far more interactive than Dragon’s Lair, with a more endearing character and substantial, varied content. If you like a series of mini-games wrapped in a cartoonish atmosphere, look no further.
Note: The animated intro seems to be missing from this CD32 version.
