Also known as Carton Rouge (in France) or Anstoss (in Germany, where it was developed). The images are from the “League Edition” version, which lets you participate in the English championship as well as European club cups. Look for the “World Cup Edition”, released a few weeks earlier, to play with national teams.
This is a very accessible and well-presented football and financial simulation. It’s up to you to transfer players, supervise training, set your team’s strategy, and negotiate with sponsors… The matches are broadcast in an animated “fake live” format, which creates an appealing atmosphere … that sometimes crashes too, so be sure to save regularly.
Hard drive installation is highly recommended, unless you enjoy juggling floppy disks. The game is also available on PC-DOS.
