You manage a railway company in America or Europe from the 19th century onwards, in the midst of the golden age of rail. You have, on one side, the entire construction aspect, with the plotting of railway lines on the map, the choice of locomotives and goods transported; and on the other, financial management. Reading the manual seems essential to me, so complex is the simulation.

Your objective is to build a rail empire over 100 years, without being swallowed up by your competitors or carved up by your creditors. Railroad Tycoon spawned numerous sequels that are more polished and above all more ergonomic, equipped with 3D graphics and tutorials, so much so that it seems quite difficult today to become attached to the Amiga version.
