Here’s a bizarre arcade game where you control a battlesphere speeding along a circular path around a planet. There are no turns; the game’s “simple” goal is to get rid of your opponent while avoiding the numerous traps along the way. The spheres can protect themselves behind a shield or temporarily raise it to shoot (making them vulnerable).
In the same style, I recommend Thumper (2016).
