Sim City needs no introduction. The first urban simulation game released on almost every platform.
Step into the shoes of the mayor of a famous city or create your own from scratch. Build houses, roads; ensure all your neighborhoods are powered by electricity; find a balance between residential, commercial, and industrial zones; manage your budget wisely; make the right decisions when disasters strike, such as fires, tornadoes, giant monster attacks…
There isn’t really a goal in this game, nor an end. It’s up to you to decide your objectives: maximise the well-being and safety of your citizens by providing police stations, fire stations, schools, hospitals, parks, and leisure areas; or build a large metropolis with its crime and pollution problems. You hold the keys. Your freedom is absolute, and your mandate unlimited, even if you mess everything up!
Many sequels followed on newer machines, sticking to the same principle but incorporating increasingly realistic levels of detail.
