For me, Super Cars belongs to that club of games totally overshadowed by their sequels. Who remembers, for example, Gauntlet? Speedball? Xenon? Street Fighter? Who has ever played Warcraft? Oh yes, I’ve played Warcraft! And Diablo too, Fallout… Ahhh!

Anyway, I discovered it late, but I have to admit it doesn’t have much to envy in its sequel (except for the two-player mode). Let’s say it’s a clone of Super Sprint (arcade, 1986), prettied up of course (I really like the look of the cars), with a screen scroll added (to accommodate bigger tracks) and different elements probably borrowed from R.C. Pro-AM (NES, 1988), like oil slicks on the track or the ability to shoot missiles at your opponents or drop mines… Good concept!

Some dialogues are really funny (dialogues in a racing game?), but all in English.
