I’m really proud of the second photo. Probably not the most productive two hours of my life…
Six months after Sigma’s failed rebellion, X, now the leader of the Maverick Hunters, is busy exterminating the last remaining Reploids who still oppose peace and love.
Meanwhile, three Mavericks (Agile, Serges, and Violen) are plotting to resurrect Zero and turn him against his former allies.
Depending on whether you manage to recover Zero’s body in three parts … you’ll either make him a valuable ally against Sigma, or have to fight him (but don’t worry, he’ll be back by X’s side in the end).
Suggested order:
Wheel Gator > Bubble Crab > Flame Stag > Morph Moth > Magna Centipede > Crystal Snail > Overdrive Ostrich > Wire Sponge
Beware: to save Zero (an optional mission), there’s a convoluted protocol to follow. It’s advised to only finish the first two levels. After two bosses are defeated, the three aforementioned Mavericks will show up (check the level selection map). You must hunt them down first. They’re hiding in a secondary arena, somewhere in a randomly selected level that you haven’t finished. As long as these three muppets are still alive, I suggest leaving the remaining levels without fighting the bosses.
Complicated? Wait until you see the sequels!
