Unirally (Uniracers in the United States) is a devilishly original racing game featuring … unicycles! Since it’s all in side view, there’s no need to worry about turns—only jumps. You can still pull off an absurd number of tricks to pick up speed, assuming you manage to land back on your wheel.
Races are a one-on-one battle across wild circuits. There’s also a “stunt” mode where you will be rated on the special moves you execute. At the end, you get a detailed stats screen showing off your times, stunts, and more.
The game feels polished from every angle. The difficulty is perfectly tuned, animations are smooth, and controls respond like a charm. Breaking records and unlocking new tracks is a total delight. Plus, the unicycles have their own little reactions when they win or lose—adorable, really. I also remember the game manual giving me a good laugh.
Worth noting: the game got pulled from shelves prematurely after Pixar took legal action over copyright infringement.
