Aside from the lady flaunting her assets, there’s little to remember about this fighting game—mediocre would be putting it kindly. Yet, the developers clearly bent over backwards to dazzle us, delivering gorgeous (if morbid) backdrops, impressive shadow and lighting effects, and, of course, rivers of blood. The price of such visual flair? Seven floppy disks, a tendency to crash due to memory issues, and a pitifully small selection of characters and moves.
The main problem? After enduring the ordeal of installing this thing on a hard drive—a mandatory and tedious process—you’re greeted by a duel against a virtually unbeatable monster. The match devolves into a slaughter within seconds, and after five or six humiliating defeats, I gave up and tried the two-player mode. Unfortunately, offering a mere four playable characters and two arenas to choose from, even multiplayer feels painfully limited. Do yourself a favour and skip it.
