Take a bunch of stupid (but obedient) rodents, always marching straight ahead, blissfully unaware of traps, cliffs, and other lava lakes. Place them in decidedly hostile environments (lava lakes, cliffs, and other traps). Since they’re far too dim to manage on their own, you’ll give them orders:

“Stop your mates from getting through!”

“Build a staircase!”

“Dig!”

How rewarding it is to see them reach the exit unscathed, thanks to one of your brilliant strategies! And how utterly heartbreaking to watch them plummet one after another due to a tiny miscalculation (no, it’s not the mouse’s fault)…

Their survival is in your hands! And the thoughtfully designed difficulty curve ensures the game’s accessible to everyone. Isn’t that right, mum?

An interesting detail: some levels are directly lifted from Amiga games. You’ll spot nods to Menace, Awesome, and Shadow of the Beast.

There’s also a simultaneous two-player mode, though I doubt many will bother. I believe it requires two mice.
