This one is inspired by River Raid, a classic from 1982 released on Atari 2600, Commodore 64, and other consoles of the time. Quite logical, given that the device would explode if it flew over the slightest obstacle, and even the shoreline!

Your goal is simple: blast everything that passes without colliding with anything, or running out of fuel. You retain the ability to accelerate or slow down (which affects the vertical scrolling of the scenery), and some bonuses have been added compared to the original version (press the “Space” key to use a bomb, for example). Another notable change: three levels (previously just one, which repeated in a loop), even though I think most mortals have never seen what level 2 looked like, let alone level 3, given the difficulty.

That said, this difficulty doesn’t stem from dodgy controls, unlike a certain Goldrunner, so I’d recommend it to hardcore game enthusiasts—there are some out there.
