The 1994 World Cup final, remember … aliens took the trophy, which then collided with an asteroid, broke into five pieces, and scattered across five countries! And a kid set off to collect them, ball at his feet…
This is an excellent, highly original platformer (sponsored by the cereal brand Golden Grahams), where you use the ball as a weapon.
The American Super Nintendo version is called The Adventures of Kid Kleets. I recommend the CD32 version for its animated intro.
The following year, a similar game was released: Marko’s Magic Football, for Sega Genesis, Mega CD, Super Nintendo, and Game Gear.
