Do you know Super Mario Bros.? Well, shave off the mustache, give him a yo-yo, and plaster both of his legs.
I think the game looks better on the Commodore 64, its original platform. The colours are less garish. However, the music is much better on the Amiga, once doesn’t make it a habit.
After playing for an hour, my eyes are red and my ears are ringing, but it wasn’t unpleasant. The character is cute and relatively maneuverable, once you get used to the ridiculous range of the weapon and the strange recoil when you hit an enemy (it must be a sawed-off barrel yo-yo).
But tell me, is it really that hard to program a scrolling screen in both directions? What really pisses me off is leaving bonuses behind… Don’t mind me, it’s just my neurosis kicking in again.
For your information: press the “Space” key to throw rocks, and “S” to turn off the music (and hear the miserable sound effects instead).
