A helicopter game, very similar to Virus in style but much more manoeuvrable, once you realise the controls are absolute rather than relative (tilting the joystick left will always take you west).
The missions are well-presented, first with briefings and then with an interactive map (press “Enter”), so you’ll get into it quite quickly. The objectives vary from mindless destruction, escort, prisoner retrieval (press “G” to land), to recovering damaged vehicles (press “H” to deploy a grappling hook). A password is provided every four levels.
It takes a bit more practice, but I recommend using the mouse. After a few hours, I no longer even missed the six-button console controllers.
A sequel was released a year later.
