A true arcade monument! Two little dragons (one green, one blue) collect a heap of bonuses and get rid of the numerous baddies populating a hundred screens, by spitting bubbles… This is the quintessential platform game, timeless!
If you’re itching to play it again, arcade emulation (MAME) is your best bet. The Amiga version, sadly, falls short in the conversion.
Update:
Much like Bomb Jack, Bubble Bobble received a second adaptation for the Amiga many years later (2020, no less!), and it’s said to be almost identical to the arcade version. This one’s called Tiny Bobble.
I’ll go ahead and host the file myself, in case the link above is not maintained in the years to come.
